Green Goddess Dressing

Green Goddess Dressing, tangy-creamy, and velvety green is typically comprised of mayonnaise, sour cream or Greek yogurt, parsley, chives, tarragon, chervil, garlic, anchovy, and lemon juice. In this adaptation, basil and dill are stand-ins for the chervil. Anchovy fillets add depth and umami but can be substituted with capers for a plant-based version. Use this versatile dressing on a fresh cruditƩ platter, sandwiches, wraps, or as a sauce for roasted vegetables, grilled meats, and seafood.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 3 ea. anchovy filletsĀ (optional)
  • 1/2 cup flat-leaf parsley, lightly packed (.5 oz)
  • 3 ea. scallion
  • 1/4 cup tarragon leaves, lightly packed (.3 oz)
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves, lightly packed (.3 oz)
  • 2 Tbsp dill
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, anchovy fillets, flat-leaf parsley, scallion, tarragon, basil, dill, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth.
